Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS)
Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) is a condition characterized by widespread nonarticular musculoskeletal pain and fatigue with multiple tender points. Patients with FMS experience amplified pain due to the abnormal sensory processing of the central nervous system. FMS is caused by neuroendocrine/neurotransmitter dysregulation.
Medication is the recommended treatment for Fibromyalgia.
